I'm living proof that you can co-exist with a cat even though you may be allergic to them. There is a certain breed that breeders started importing to America from Russia in 1990 called the Siberian Cat. They are the closest thing to a hypo-allergenic cat that there has ever been. For more technical information on Siberians, check out Nancy Decker's site (we got Boris & Tasha from her). Nancy owned and operated the Ashburn Siberians Cattery from her home near us in Ashburn, Virginia. Sadly however, she will be closing her doors as a breeder in late 2005.
